Protein-Protein Interactions

A large part of protein function is governed by their interactions with other proteins. These range from non-specific, interactions such as crowding, to the specific formation of large protein complexes that are necessary for biological function. The biophysics group at MSU uses a number of techniques to characterize protein-protein interactions, including molecular dynamics simulation, surface plasmon resonance and fluorescence techniques.
