Membrane Interactions

Membranes are an important part of all biological cells. The biophysics group at MSU focuses generally on characterizing the structure, dynamics, and folding of membrane-bound proteins, transport of metals, protons, and electrons across membranes, the mechanism of membrane fusion during viral entry into host cells, and the passive diffusion of small molecules across membranes.
