Cellular Crowding & Phase Separations

Biological macromolecules operate in highly concentrated crowded conditions. Efforts at MSU focus on understanding the effect of crowding on biomolecular structure, dynamics, and ultimately function. A particular area of interest is the formation of phase-separated states such as in the form of inclusion bodies.
