Experimental studies of crowded protein solutions

This project supported by the National Science Foundation involves the study of highly concentrated protein solutions via simulation and experiment to better understand how proteins behave inside the cell.

The specific goal of the experimental part is to use laser spectroscopy to analyze protein interactions in mixtures of proteins. The results will be compared with results from computer simulations.

This research requires a background in biochemistry, molecular biology, physical chemistry or physics.
