Kinetic Assays

Since dynamics links structure to function, the characterization of kinetic parameters is an essential factor in understanding biomolecular processes.

Biophysics groups at MSU are focused on a variety of kinetic assays ranging from classical enzyme reaction assays to microfluidics experiments and the extraction of kinetic parameters via spectroscopy. There is also a strong focus on estimating and tuning ligand binding and unbinding kinetics in the design of more effective future drug therapies.
